Veteran’s Wall of Honor in Sheridan

Veteran’s Wall of Honor in Sheridan

As part of a massive renovation project currently underway by the Sheridan Legion Post 89 on their Sheridan building, a Wall of Honor will be raised to memorialize and honor our military veterans, past and present. This structure will be erected at the front of the post building in Sheridan. The first phase of the brick wall has a goal of 100 bricks by March 15, 2017 with a subsequent phase to follow. In addition to honoring our Veterans, the wall will help offset the cost of the entire project.

Any veteran may be honored. Local residency or Legion affiliation is not required. The bricks will be available for $75 each, and can be purchased by any veteran, family member of a veteran, or friend of a veteran. Each brick will be laser-etched with the veteran’s name and service insignia. Proceeds from the sale of these bricks will enable the Post to forge ahead with renovation plans.

Renovations include repairing the roof, log replacement where necessary, new gutters and down spouts, floor repair, replacing kitchen counter, upgrade electric wiring and plumbing fixtures, furnace repair, and adding new closets and a rifle safe. These renovations are required to bring this 1930’s building up to a functional status.

Orders for bricks or information regarding this project can be directed to Bob Reimard at (406)842-7900, or Chris Mumme at (406)842-5625.
