Ruby Valley Healthcare Foundation

Bob Walsh MemorialSince before groundbreaking in October of 2016 through this summer of 2018, the new Ruby Valley Hospital has been a massive undertaking and is currently receiving the final rounds of construction detail, landscaping, and finishing. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Ruby Valley Medical Center Open House Reception at the Main Entrance to the new Medical Center (corrected location) is scheduled for Saturday, August 18 at 11 AM.

The Gazebo for the Memorial Healing Garden — a generous gift from Coralene Walsh in memory of her late husband Bob Walsh — was raised on July 17 and 18. This beautiful work of art was custom crafted and hand hewn by Mountain View Gazebo in Moore, Montana.

The Ruby Valley Healthcare Foundation has been fundamental in developing the vision for the future of Ruby Valley healthcare; and undertaking the planning and fund-raising necessary to bring the vision of a new healthcare facility to reality. It could not have happened without the generosity of several major donors along with an amazing outpouring of community support. The latest gift of two real estate holdings by an anonymous donor, puts the estimated total value of funds raised “very close to $5 million” according to Les Gilman, Foundation President.

Rod and Rifle InnThe real estate gift includes the Rod & Rifle Inn along Mill Creek on Mill Street and the historic Bank Building on Sheridan’s Main Street. The Rod & Rifle Inn will be sold at auction. Three viewings have been scheduled in August and one in September. The Madisonian featured the real estate donations and information in their July 19th issue.Mill Creek in Rod and Rifle Inn back yard
