Sheridan’s Christmas Stroll, sponsored by the Ruby Valley Chamber, was held December 1, and featured a Hay Ride, Scavenger Hunt, Santa at the Prospector, and Tree-Lighting in The Square. Businesses lit up the evening with colorful lights and decorations, hot cider, hot chocolate, coffee, cookies and treats, and hosted musical entertainment. The String Quartet at Ruby Valley Bank, Steve Rose at Mill Creek Inn, “Know Tomorrow” at Ruby Valley Brew, and Shovel and Spoon hosted an open mic. An open bonfire was available for strollers and hay riders.
The following week, Twin Bridges Community Association, and the Ruby Valley Chamber, sponsored the 2017 Christmas Stroll and Feast-ival, beginning with the Main Street stroll and card stamp at Twin Bridges businesses, then moved to the Madison County Fairgrounds Pavillion for the Feast-i-val–a chili feast served up by the local Rotary Club.
Turkey Bingo, Hay Rides, a Cake-Walk and kid crafts, Santa and his elves, and music performances by the Twin Bridges school’s music students highlighted a busy evening, culminating in a raffle drawing for some highly popular gifts: $500 in Twin Bucks, guided fishing trips with 4 Rivers Fishing Co. and Stonefly Outfitters, a Winston fly rod, a Ruger Rifle, Photo prints, Gift Certificates, and more.
Next door the Jeffers Building was filled with vendors for a holiday Craft Fair.
The Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is happy to be a sponsor of these community events in addition to the summertime events, Sheridan Days, and the Floating Flotilla Parade in Twin Bridges.
