Sheridan Public Library Hours: Sun-Mon: Closed, Tues: 9am-5pm, Wed: 10am-7pm, Thurs-Sat: 10am-5pm. - The Sheridan Public Library offers book, audio books, e-books, CD's, magazines, newspapers, historical documents, local information, computers, and wi-fi access. Other library services of interest to tourists are a FAX machine, copy machine, local newspapers, free magazines, local family histories, display of historical photos, and books for sale. The Historic Newspaper Discussion Group, which meets Tuesday mornings at 9am in the library, is open to anyone who is interested. This group has the opportunity to read through and talk about our archive of Sheridan-produced newspapers, ranging from 1896 to 1950.

Story hour for the kids on Friday morning around 10am, provided by the Honor Students at the high school. The Book Club meets the first Sunday of each month at 1:30pm. Sheridan’s city park is right next to the library. The park has benches, swings and plenty of room to play and relax. Explore the names of those who have donated to the library in the Memory Wall in the park, next to the library. If you’d like to add your own name, please contact the library.

The Friends of the Sheridan Public Library offers informational and entertaining programs at the library, including a children's summer reading program. Schedule for Movie Night is the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 7 - 9 p.m. Annual fundraising events include the Tax Relief Gathering wine-tasting event in April, Ice Cream Social in September, and Oktoberfest in October.

Friends of the Sheridan Public Library is non-profit organization whose mission is to assist the Sheridan Library, its services and programs by advocating for public support and use of the Library, by generating current and long-term funding, by sponsoring library programming for the benefit of the community and by developing volunteer involvement.
