Membership Appreciation Banquet

Chamber Members

The Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will hold it’s annual banquet November 7th in the Round Building at Madison County Fairgrounds. In an effort to celebrate and recognize agriculture as well as the many diverse businesses supporting our communities, we have expanded what was previously known as the Ag Appreciation Banquet, to what will become the annual Membership Appreciation Banquet. The banquet is always a great time to get together for a fun and relaxing evening and a great meal.

Your fellow chamber member, the Wagon Wheel Restaurant, will be serving prime rib with delicious side dishes. Chamber members are entitled to two complimentary dinner and drink tickets. Extra tickets are available at $25 each for a drink and dinner. (If your business isn’t a member yet, please come and see what the Greater Ruby Valley Chamber is about.)

New Improvement Grants Available

October 1, 2015

To: Members of the Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture (GRVCCA)

The GRVCCA Board is pleased to announce a new program we are implementing this Fall. We know how important our Main Street corridors are to promote and enhance our communities. We also know how difficult it can sometimes be to set aside the necessary funding to improve our store fronts/facades. With this in mind, the GRVCCA Board has decided to award five (5) improvement grants of up to $500 each to businesses on the Main Street corridors or within one block of the Main Street corridors. We invite you to apply for an improvement grant for your business. The requirements are as follows:

1. The applicant must be a current member of the GRVCCA.

2. The applicant must either own or occupy a business on Main Street or within a one block radius of Main Street in either Sheridan or Twin Bridges.

3. The project must be to improve the store front/façade appearance ( ie. Painting, signage, windows, awnings, brick or rockwork, etc.) in keeping with the downtown appearance and historic preservation of the Town(s).

4. The applicant must be able to provide matching funds and show ability to complete the project. The grant funds will not be paid until completion of the project. The project must be completed within one year, or by October 31st, 2016.

5. Applications are due by November 1, 2015 and will be awarded at our annual meeting on November 7th. The GRVCCC has the sole discretion to approve, deny or modify, or table a request for grant assistance based upon the above criteria. Applications not approved can be resubmitted the following year.

We hope you will consider taking advantage of this program. Submit your grant application on or before November 1st to the

Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture

Telecommuting from Montana

TobRtGrafStageRd1200Best of both worlds. A great job with high pay–that allows you to telecommute from Montana. Greg Gianforte of BetterMontanaJobs.com will be visiting with the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce and interested community members for an informal roundtable on Tuesday, June 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Pepper Tree Deli at 105 West Legion Avenue in Whitehall.

He will be discussing his recent telecommuting project, where he is spreading awareness and encouraging telecommuting throughout the state as a means for bringing Montanans back here to work, and providing high-wage jobs in the state. He welcomes local members of the community and businesses to attend and join the dialogue. See the brochure here.

Rain, Beautiful Rain
